- SARS-CoV-2 infections have important implications for cardiovascular diseases. Cardiovascular diseases are important risk factors for severe courses of COVID-19 disease and the COVID-19 disease may trigger cardiovascular complications such as myocarditis or arrhythmias. It is of great importance to monitor the interaction of drugs that are used in the treatment of COVID-19 and drugs with the potential for QT prolongation such as antiarrhythmics.
