Abstract:: The wearable cardioverter-defibrillator (WCD) is a treatment option for patients at temporarily high risk for sudden cardiac death (SCD) or in whom implantation of a - cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) is temporarily not possible. This review summarizes the current evidence and serves as a position paper for indications and use of the WCD.
