Fields of expertise
- I am a researcher specializing in fluorescent microscopy, live cell imaging, and the development of genetically encoded biosensors (GEBs). My work focuses on advancing innovative tools and methodologies to explore cellular processes in real time. By combining expertise in advanced imaging techniques with the design of highly specific biosensors, I aim to contribute to a deeper understanding of molecular and cellular biology.
A significant part of my research involves the development of genetically encoded biosensors designed to monitor dynamic biochemical events in living cells. This includes a focus on engineering biosensors to study cellular iron dynamics, with an emphasis on optimizing these tools for precision, sensitivity, and versatility. These biosensors hold promise for addressing diverse biological questions and enhancing the understanding of fundamental cellular processes.
In addition to tool development, my future research plans include evaluating the performance of these biosensors in more complex systems, such as ex vivo disease models. This approach aims to bridge the gap between basic research and applied biomedical sciences, advancing the utility of biosensors in translational research contexts.
My scientific expertise is complemented by a strong commitment to methodological innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration. I strive to develop tools and approaches that not only answer specific biological questions but also push the boundaries of current research techniques. Furthermore, I am passionate about fostering knowledge exchange and contributing to the growth of the scientific community through mentorship and collaboration..
