- Neonatology with focus on neonatal infectious diseases (bacterial infections, connatal infections, nosocomial infections), diagnostic value of inflammatory markers including CRP, IL-6, PCT. Viral respiratory tract infections with focus on bronchiolitis and RSV disease of preterm infants and prophylaxis with monoclonal antibodies (palivizumab). Ultrasonography of the neurocranium (bleedings and periventricular leukomalacia). Epidemiology of neonatal diseases and associated risk factors, ECMO and neurocognitive development. Microbiome of the preterm infants and probiotics.
