Mission Statement
EDUCATION:
➤ We teach basic knowledge of molecular biology and biochemistry for students of medicine. Specialized knowledge of molecular cell biology and genetic epidemiology, moreover, is imparted within diploma and doctoral theses.
➤ Innovation and promotion of young scientists are as important to us as internationality and gender equality.
RESEARCH:
➤ We place emphases by focusing topics in the area of chronic and metabolic diseases.
➤ Within our incentive research projects, graduands and postgraduands (PhD students) shall be introduced to independent research in the range of biochemistry, molecular biology, and cell biology.
➤ Participating in major projects of the EU and in national incentive programmes is the basis of our success.
➤ We put major emphasis on modern technical equipment and infrastructure. Optimal utilization of resources as well as quality assurance is as fundamental to us as professional training of our scientific and technical staff.
